A Great Pet To Change A Life

I'm a sucker towards animals, especially cute ones like these! My sister bought 3 little puppies from a friend whos a homebreeder here in KL, 2 maltase and 1 chiwawa about 2 years back. I remember I had to take care of 3 little baby puppies at in my apartment before it was shifted back to Kota Kinabalu. I took care of them for almost 3-4 months, and it was crazy. I was super multi-tasking between my studies, work and the babies! They poo poo 24/7 and always giving me a big mess to clean... =( sniff sniff... especially Mika and Casper as they have really thick white fur, and when they poo poo, some of it stuck to their cute bunny ass and I had to clean it and bath them. It aint easy...

One day, Casper had an fight with the little chiwawa. That poor baby had a wound on its forehead, and i didn't thought it would be so serious.... Until one morning during my final exams, the little chiwawa started to cry in pain, i was in panic and everything seem to happen so fast. Suddenly she had spasm and I totally freaked out, i myself started to cry and cry because I have never left alone in this kind of situation... I was so scared and helpless. My housemate came out and took me to the animal clinic. The vet told me that she had an infection in the brain due to the wound. Because of the baby's age, its skull is still soft and the tissues are still very thin, therefore she's really fragile. The vet also said that the chances of her to live normal is really tiny because the brain and the nerve systems are infected.... After a long discussion with my sister over the phone, we both agree to let her go in peace. She was in real pain, and I can't take it anymore. I really can't bare to hear her cry nor to see her in pain... i just can't......... May her soul rest in peace...

This is Casper in my arms when he was still a little baby... and when my hair was still dyed with some weird golden light brown color... lol

and this is Casper after 1 year! He looks like a big ass fur ball and my hair is red here lol

One thing about Maltase breed is that they are very intelligent, gentle, and easy to train. Really good house companion for sure =) At the moment, my house in Kota Kinabalu have 5 pet dogs! That's 1 Doberman (Sheba), 1 Jack Russell Terrier (Chad), 2 Maltase (Casper & Mika) and 1 Shih Zhu (Max). When i was staying in Lahad Datu, our house have all sorts of weird animals. We have squirrels (they're so cute! look like my Sugar Glider in KL now), we have a Parrot (which got stolen when we went on a holiday), we have iguana, and a really big dog but i cant remember the breed, but she was called "Lassy". Yeah, its the same dog from the movie "Lassy" the dog as well... lol (if you can remember, it was ages ago this movie.....it was my favorite lol) While our neighbour had a pet alligator! My dad would take me to watch them feed it at 6pm, i remember seing the live chicken being eaten alive by that big ass alligator! Sigghhh....Right now, I'm missing all my pets at home especially Casper =(

Before I forget, I want to introduce to you my new baby Suggey McWoggey (not really baby, he's few months old really, but still act like a baby...) Its called sugar glider and they are very cute. They are nothing like cats, although they have one thing in common which is sleeping in the day time and go super hyper in the night. What I've learn from taking care of this little brat is not to play with him at night, because he will run all over the place and hide into your thick bushy hair, and of course his favorite is to nibble your finger and then bite it like crazy monkey! lol! So yea... here's a photo of me and my baby. He's really tiny, so i have to be gentle on his at all times.... awwww sooo cute kan?

that's us bonding.... and he cium cium my pipi... awww....

By Wikipedia: The Sugar Glider (Petaurus breviceps) is a small gliding possum native to eastern and northern mainland Australia, New Guinea, and the Bismarck Archipelago, and introduced to Tasmania. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar_Glider)

so anyone want to go to the Zoo this weekend? hehehehe..... i'm an animal lover but i never support pet shops except for selling food and toys for animals....

Anyone interested to own a pet now?

Do go for adoption alright, never EVER support the pet shop. Not only the pets don't get enough attention due to the big numbers of pets and work the staff needs to bother, but sometimes they even forget to feed the pets. Sometimes, they only feed the pets once a day because they don't want the pets to make a mess, which means they are abusing the animals already..... =(

Please support SPCA, PAWS or home breeders.
as everyday they have new homely pets for adoption.

Adopt a pet, and make a difference....

Besides SPCA, y'all can go to "PAWS" which is located along the main road to Old subang airport, opposite saujana resort.. They need TLC from all of us.. yep yep!

yes stellz... it's worse at PAWS..

well, anonymous you're right.. due to lack of aid and workers, after a certain period if no one wants them, they will be put to sleep..

So they're in need of anything you can donate even things like newspapers will do just fine...

Anyway, it all comes down to educating people not to treat animals like rubbish that can be dump around...

World would be a better place...animals and mankind alike :)

suddenly i recalled back on one incident that happened in my neighbourhood when i was a kid, which is really horrible.

when i was a kid that time, there was once a lorry or van (sort of that, i can't remember well) came to my Taman to kill dogs (those who have no master, cos they think that these kind of dogs will spread out germs and sickness). i was in the house and i heard guns shooting sounds "bang!" and dogs screaming in pain, and those dog which is with their master in the house keep barking non stop.

it was horrible that they not only kill those without master, but those which have master too. cos a few houses away from my house, there's a Aunty who own a dog but she did not give him a dog licence or anything. that time she went out with his car, and the dog went out to play. so when the dog came back right, the door was closed, so he stayed outside to wait for his master. it use to be like that, when the master come back then will let he in. so that time when those dog killer was there, and they killed that dog and took him away. so when the Aunty came back, she found that there are bloods in front of her house, and when her neighbour told her that the dog killer came, then only she realized her dog is dead. althought it's not any branded or well-known dog type, it just a normal street dog, but it's a life! sigh...

been there before stella.. it's very worse than spca... it's just like a kampung house with some cages for the doggies .. and the backyard is like those kampung backyard ler... not too many animals though...

hmmm...I wonder whether PAWS is still surviving... everyone goes to SPCA but no one goes to PAWS... kesian le...
