Today i would like to share with you a little bit about myself. Growing up was fun, but it gets tougher the older you become. Older you get, the more commitment, you want better things, you want more... so in the end, people work harder to get more money to live up to their dreams. Some work just to survive. I'm sure we don't want to just survive, we want to be comfortable. I want to be comfortable. I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth, so I was taught at a very young age that we need to work hard for our money.
My parents are my role model to making my dreams come true. A happy marriage and a beautiful home. And it kinda starts from here.....
Some jobs I have done to make money :
1. Car Washer - RM5 for each car, about 8-11 years old i earn up to RM15 every 2-3 weeks for each household cause they have 3 cars. You know when I say 'they', I meant just my family..... hahaha.
2. Cleaning Service - sweep and mop the floor, keeping the house sparkly clean and tidy. I get RM10-30 per month. also just hired by mom and dad haha...
3. Ball Picker - this is one of the most stupid job i've done. I pick balls for a Sukma tennis tournament. It was RM20 per day. Under the hot blazing sun. Did it for 2 days. Only did it cause my friends also took this job, hired by our high school tennis club.
4. Bubble Tea Maker - i was working for a shop similar to Yoyo in KK, and i make rm1.75 per hour. I work up to 8 hours a day during school holidays.
5. Cashier - RM1.50 per hour for southern bakery in kk. i was like 13 and every customer thought i was the boss's daughter. of course only recently i know who the owner is!!! and i look nothing like them haha...
6. Waitress - at the age of 15-16, i follow my sister working for banquets at Putra in KK. It was close to RM30 per banquet function. its usually late night job from 6-11.30pm. its so tough... i hate waitressing.... super duper hate it...
7. Waitress job again!!!! - just when i say i hate it, as at the age of 17 when i jus arrive kl, took part time job working at Concorde hotel RM 2.30 per hour while juggling with studies. not happy memories at all.
8. I finally MODEL for money!!!! - being scouted by a modeling agency in KLCC and being groomed for almost 2 months, i was ready to sell my looks professionally. part time modeling while juggling studies. this goes for 5-6 years. earned quite alot from modeling....
9. Sell clothes for money - own clothes like that day i did over facebook, i needed some cash to move back to KL and manage to save up to RM2000!!! Thanks ladies!!! but its all gone now lol...
10. i also once sell premium pearls to wealthy people.... this was just a small time and only one time thing i did.
11. i had my time and chance running my own business... as an organizer, didn't work out the way i thought it should be.... but maybe this is actually how it suppose to be right? Only God knows...
12. for corporate organization, i've been in real estate for sales and marketing, hotel industry for corporate communication and marketing, charity organization for public relations role, i also work at bursa malaysia before monitoring share markets for asia market, a tutor/teacher for a leading air-hostess training company...... oh and now currently, a top secret foreign company :)
A permanent day job is still the best rather than odd jobs here and there. There are a million ways to make money. I just want to work smart and hard, earn my rights in the society as a professional that someday i can look back at my past smiling in my dream house with my dogs, cats, kids and my husband while indulging my favorite bottle of champagne and creme brulee in our very own swimming pool :)
Something like this.... or better :)

have a nice day everyone. hope your dreams will also someday come true :)
xoxo
