now, james and i next to be married. james is organizing the wedding planning and i just supervising only hehehehe. i'm so relax and also cause i trust him doing the job. plus, he seem really excited planning the entire wedding stuff than i am lol. i'm such a lucky girl to have someone like him :)

Wedding Checklist

Organizing a wedding can be a daunting task and sometimes make you feel stressed rather than elated that you're a bride-to-be. So after going through some books and website for guidance, i've create a simple breakdown of the different areas for us to tackle.

1. Decide on the wedding date.
2. Set a budget.
3. Decide on the number of guests and make a list.
4. Book the church ceremony and reception venue.
5. Research and book photographer and videographer.
6. Choose the best man, bridesmaids, ushers, pageboys and flower girls.
7. Research and book entertainment for the reception.
8. Create the invitation cards and send them out 3 months in advance (home based) and 5-6 months in advance to family abroad.
9. Start looking for wedding dress ( 1 day dress and 2 night dress) and shoes.
10. Start looking for suits for the groom and ushers.
11. Start looking for bridesmaids dresses.
12. Decide on colour palette.
13. Decide on wedding flowers.
14. Choose a toastmaster/emcee.
15. Arrange wedding favours for reception.
16. Start wedding hair and make up trials.
17. Decide on reception floor plan and guest sitting arrangement.
18. Decide on table stationary and table place card design.
19. Prepare Order of Service booklet for Church ceremony.
20. Order wedding cake
21. Start preparing documents and paper work for the officials (the Foreign Affairs Dept, JPN and Church)
22. Go for a full body massage and Spa, and hope it all fall into place :)

Wedding Card Ideas

Just looking too cool :P

Our engagement card, we had 2 colour options. Well of course we choose the one with the love birds! LOL

Sample idea which i'm hoping to get my creative hands to work on

So, today been driving about looking for some plain coloured hard cover paper, some gold and silver pen but couldn't find a place that sell ribbons. Almost impossible to look for a shop that sell these stuff, maybe if i live here long enough I might find one eventually. I text my cousin to post over some ribbons as she works for a fabric shop in London and hope it reaches here in time before I lost my "semangat" to do these sample Wedding Invitation cards.

Previously, I designed our Engagement Card but couldn't be bothered to print them out. Since our invited guest many turned up last minute and glad we didn't spend the extra cash on printing those cards. So, if you see the second picture, that's the card I designed. I really love it! Maybe I might print one just as keepsake :)

For the Wedding Cards, we sorta plan to make them ourselves as it will help us understand more of the type of colour palette we want on our Wedding Day. Not to mentioned, it will save us a fortune!

So yeah, guess that's all. Waiting for my ribbons to arrive from London and I can get started, thanks Vivian Lai!
