Sapi Island, Sabah (Day 9)

We took the boat trip from Beach Bums at Beach Hotel. For Malaysians Sabahan is RM30 per person for return trip and its about 20 minutes boat ride. It is such a great feeling to feel the sea breeze against my skin again =) Sea breeze is good for your skin. Thank God my skin is smooth now without any scars from my hormonal pimple attack when i was a teenager back in high school. See why i wasn't popular back in high school except from playing 10-pins Bowling and singing in the class with my vip sisters and karen? Hmph!

What is in Sapi Island? Well, there's friendly fishes (but you got to feed them only they will come to you), the sand is golden and soft, beautiful view, gorgeous corals and of course its safe. Moreover, its rumoured that there's wild boar inside the jungle of the island. There used to be monkeys that come and steal your food and any shinny things you own, but today there seems to be no sign or even bulu hidung of them.

So if those aren't impressive enough, come and try Sapi Island's natural FISH SPA for FREE

If the fish don't like eating your feet, well never mind you can always feed them with some bread =)

To all my girlfriends, this is dedicated to you... Muuakkss!!!

Peace from Steph and me in Sapi Island

Maxi Dress Trends 2009

Maxi dress are the hottest trend now, but there are an extravagant of options for you to choose from. The cutting of the dress, the material, patterns and most of all the color are important that it suit you. This current trend color is a lot of natural theme. Which means, flowery colors from blue, green, pink, purple and also warm brown. Look i did some research hahaha. I'm not born trendy either! So here's some tips on getting the right maxi dress for this 2009.

Bride Wars

Venue: Golden Screen Cinema, 1Borneo, Kota Kinabalu Sabah.
Food: I only had water cause i'm sick, Stephanie had the Pop Corn combo!
My Rating: 4.5/5
Advice: Get the DVD instead, because the cinema censored a big chuck of the movie! BOO!

I'm loving this movie a-LOT! Perfect cast, story line was good and not draggy, extremely funny and yet moving. Its really good to watch this movie with your girlfriend, and so I did with Stephanie Ho on Thursday afternoon.

I need one of that too! Whatever she is walking on... sigh!

i love her big round eyes =)

Kate Hudson wearing one of the most beautiful wedding dress by Vera Wang and i hope someday perhaps if I'm so lucky, i would be able to wear a Vera Wang as well or a Vivian Lai will do ( my cousin, she specializes in wedding dresses)

What I Did Last Night (Day 7)

Two girls, a guy and a place to chill. We went to D'Junction to watch Lester and his band perform and had a few drinks. He and his band are really good that Hong thought they are not local! To be honest, they are really good. Lester has been performing since high school and i believe, the stage is his life. Arghh you owe me American Sweetheart song Lester!!!

Talented Lester and me =) Come support Lester and his band at D'Junction live, only until this weekend. So don't miss out, cause the next time you want to see them live on stage might not be free anymore.... =)

Then we left to The Bed. Its definately crowded, i mean since when The Bed is never anyways. The band was pretty good to compared to the ones in Shenanigans...

We don't get crazy inside the clubs, but we get crazy outside in public!!! LOL there are more pictures but don't think i sud put them up here...

What's New (Day 3 & Day 4)

To summarize a few things about these 2 days, this year is not going to be a celebration year for me. At least not for Chinese New Year because my Grandfather and my Aunt just passed away so there's a belief that we need to have a 100 days of mourning period. So no party, no happy, no ambik and giving ang pau. So blah! No fun basically whatever.

Today is the family reunion dinner and i had loads to eat. My mom's mother came over cause she's alone as her other half passed away. We had a feast of roast duck, stem pork with yam thingy, stew pork, delicious giant mushrooms, fresh salad and soup with abalone (the mahal thingy that people says it look like pussy hehehe and i still don't understand what so special about it)

My best ever girlfriend is back. Miss Stephanie Ho, the soon to be the hottest Dentist in town! Nyehehehehe... its been raining everyday, so i'm not sure if we get the chance to take her yatch out for a sail to the islands around. I mean at least go kayaking around the ocean and go to the nearest island just both of us. Gossip time bitch! LOL.

When we were in high school, i remembered kayaking with her and then we got so tired from paddling we stop in the middle of the ocean and had this Cadbury's chocolate thingy and i swear it was the best thing ever especially when you're tired and a bit hungry from all that paddling!

HAHA i also remember going to the yatch club so often because my boyfriend was one of the sailors. Well ex-boyfriend. I used to wait for him to come back to shore from his training. Aww...... but things didn't worked out. Well we're both a happy person now and that was then.

Oh i can't wait to see Steph again, and do some girly catch up =)

A Typical Friday Night At Shens (Day 2 Part 2)

i love my foul baby-tee shirt! its lindsay lohan showing the middle finger! Hahahah!

'Friday night and the lights are low, looking for a place to go...' If in a bigger city, most Friday the clubs are crazy. But last night at Shenanigans just bore me to death. Almost. Thank God we ordered some good red wine just to keep us entertained. The new band sucks, i miss the old ones. They were there for quite a while, i guess i didn't realise how long i have been away. So anyways, also thank goodness for my sister's friend that came with his huge professional camera and we took some pictures in Shenanigans. People probably think we're crazy and weird, but i don't think i ever care what they have to say cause i know that i don't care what other people do with their lives too. Unless its my girlfriends that are heading to a messed up world, then my protectiveness towards their security will want to fix them.

Thanks to Meyers for sharing his newly profound talent in photography, you're doing great for a beginner. If you haven't had told me, i think you have been doing photography for quite a few years, you got skills!

A Typical Day in KK (Day 2)

Today i woke up at 7.30 AM compared to when I was in KL only at 9 AM or so, its as if KL and KK has different time zone but actually by referring to the geographical map, we suppose to be one hour apart. That explains why during the Ramadan period, the East and West Malaysia has different time to break fast and also explains why Sabah has the best Sunset ever!

"Stop stealing my books! Oink!"

I found the book that i have been looking for. Its hiding behind this pig looking soft toy and some wax candle. What is that piggy doing there? How strange. Anyway, this book i'm holding is an antique because this is the first ever copy published in 1993. This book is now sixteen years old and the paper has turned from white to an ageing old paper with coffee-ish texture. It smells old too. I'm reading into Chapter one already which consist of 40 pages. A heavy topic yet extremely luminous on how she puts her points together as a writer.

At breakfast today, we went to Sunny Garden and had the 'Yee Wat' Kon Lou Mien. Its my favorite. Its basically something like fish ball, but the only thing is that its way better than fish ball. I have no idea how they made it, but its just really delicious especially with the combination with the flat noodle which is also very unique on its own because of their one of a kind soya sauce in it. I just can't get enough of this. I wish i knew how to prepare this myself, but it seems like this recipe is a money making machine that not many know unless you worked there. I must say that Sabah has a variety of delectable places to eat that in conjunction with the offers by Sabah in terms of a holiday gateaway, adventure tours and the popular Mount Kinabalu. I'm proud to be a Sabahan. I love my 'Bahs' and my 'Okay bah kalau kau!'

My parents took us to Citymall and I wanted to shop for some clothes. I forgot that in KK it is difficult to find anything fashionable except going to Bintang Warisan located opposite Centre Point and Nicchi Fashion City inside 1Borneo which is near my house. The layout of KK is almost similar to KL, sort of. The Bintang Warisan and Center Point suppose to be the next Sungei Wang Bukit Bintang area. Whereas, the 1Borneo suppose to be the next 1Utama, and Kingfisher suppose to be the next Damansara. It would be another 10 years before KK would end up befall like the highly developed city of Kuala Lumpur, and we Sabahans can say bye bye to the traffic jam free zone.

weeeee comfy springy bed!

Emm... the city looks clearer from the top floor of this suite

By the way, i was just being curious about my photoshoot taken few months ago as i heard an advertisement over the radio promoting the Executive Suites in PNB Darby Park so i decided to visit the website. Here are some pictures i manage to get to share with you all. Its a corporate thing, so i don't expect it to be sultry or anything like that. But i'm sure your imagination can let loose to turn it to something sexy or funny? LOL

'okay, try not to laugh, i can do this, just a few more shots and i don't have to pretend i'm working out with the thick make-up on my face'

'HELLO... is it me you're looking for? I can see it in your eyes, I can see it in your smile, you are all i ever wanted and my arms are open wide'

'Can i eat it for real now? Ok what about now? I'm really hungry. We got the shot yet? Yeah, its done? Okay, i'm going to eat all of this. Ermm its delicious'

'Now that's what i call a hot personal assistant with multitasking skills. She answers the phone and still works hard on her laptop happily'

It's Good To Be Back! (Day 1)

Well, well, well... i hate Air Asia but whatever. Since my dad retire from MAS, i'm not as special as i use to be anymore. No more VIP treatments. No more Free Tickets to around the world every single year. Sigh. Paying RM495 for return flight KL-KK-KL with Air Asia comparing to paying only RM80 where it used to be is abit of a culture shock to me. Being normal is harder than i thought. I guess i'm too much of a 'manja' girl but thank God i have inherited some independent genes from my parents and the strength of IP Man from my daddy to punch Shen if he makes me really really angry. Argh! But somehow, after our arguements we come to our senses and ask for forgiveness, then we lock our hands together like magnet where ever we go. We are an inseperatable item. That reminds me to look up on a book called "A History of God" by Karen Armstrong which explains how Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have overlapped and influenced one another, gently challenging the secularist history of each of these religions. I think its in this house somewhere, i gotta dig the bookshelf tomorrow morning.

Mt. Kinabalu taken on my previous roadtrip

The flight was alright, i'm seated between my older sister and an unknown male species that kinda smells a little bit. I squeezed myself closer to my sister as if he has an infectious disease. He probably thinks i'm weird but whatever. We landed safely at Kota Kinabalu, however the landing was pretty harsh from my opinion. If i have never ride on an airplane before i would have thought we crash landed.

raindrops on mellowy purple flower at mom's garden today

My lovely parents fetched us and had late lunch at Luyang. Our old time favorite place for lunch since i was little. We ordered satay, stim pork dumplings and some assorted pork parts, my favorite! It is good to be home. A little rundown shoplots that has been there for centuries but the business doing fairly well, the familiar accent of the Sabahans with the "Bah" just feels good. Now this sure feels like home. Weather seems chilly today, hope it remains that way for a while cause KK can get really hot at times.

Chad walking about guarding the house

Reaching the front gate of the family house, i see my long missed handsome boy waiting for me. He could smell my presence from affar. His furry white brown tail wags with excitement while sticking out his pink healthy tongue, jumping and breathing hard repetitively. He looked happy to see me after for so many months. He jumped on me and licked me as if i'm a yummy melting Paddle Pop Tropicana flavoured ice-cream. His feet was dirty from running around the muddy garden caused by the rain, and each time he jumped on me it leaves the famous dog paw prints all over my baby-tee top, my grey sweater and my hot pants. It's all now in the laundry basket for cleaning.

my teenage looking bedroom which needs a makeover soon

Settling at home and into my room. Putting 3 pairs of heels i brought with me and placed them next to my bed, arranged my cosmetics of expensive Christian Dior and MAC products as well as reasonable Maybelline and Elianto on my dressing table, perfume Bouquet by Vera Wang given by a friend from Australia, putting a few books on my desk so i can read them later tonight and leaving the rest in the luggage beside my heels. My room is so empty that it looks like an abandon cave which you can make an echoic sound as you talk. I hardly have anything left in my room since i moved to Kuala Lumpur. My teenage days clothing were all given away to the orphanage after i left and what is currently in my room now are my collections of teenage novel such as Sweet Valley High, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Archie comic books. Not to mention my fanaticsm towards Britney Spears at a very young age still leave a trail in my bedroom as the posters are still hung up there. Sigh. I love Circus whatever.

Casper giving sloppy kisses to me, always wet ones of course, so generous of this little furball

The 3 little toy dogs in the house are getting more and more cute each day. Casper beginning to look like the furriest thing alive at the moment. They all look so adorable. I can't wait to have some little toy dogs running around my new place in KL soon, hopefully my baby Suggey will be able to make friends. Okay gotta go, time for dinner =)

The best ever toy dog in the world!
