Sabahans beauty to rule?

I could be dreaming, or is this happening really fast?

Just almost 5 years ago, there I was in my hostel with my room mate Agnes, I have pimples and I smell like asam laksa. Clueless about beauty and ignorant to the fashion world. Only CLEO Magazine kept me alive looking close enough to 'cute' and sort of 'ok'. Who would have thought, you very own room mate, classmate or cousin would ended up on the pages of magazines, advertisements or representing home in beauty pageants? I know I wouldn't have. I was pretty much a geek, so unpopular, unattractive, and probably fatter than I was right now. In high school, I only did my best to the minimum so I could pretty much pass all my exams and leaving high school with 5As is good enough for me.

Coming to Kuala Lumpur isn't a regret. Thanks to all the wrong moves I make in my life that lead me to exactly where I am.. here in K.L and pretty much experienced one heck of a life! That's not all, I experience new culture (shockingly and unhurt), love life (complicated but what the heck! I love him deeply!) and everything I never thought I would have. Nevertheless, trying to save the world and help others through the goodwill of my heart.

As to the obvious, few years earlier there's been uncountable numbers of Sabahan beauties ruling in the industry of beauty and fashion. I don't really need to name all of them, because you can tell if he/she is a Sabahan either from our unique one of a kind look or our accent, the 'Bah'.

Here's one obvious example:

Firstly, myself appearing for Newman Magazine for December issue last year also reigning Miss Borneo Tourism Queen International 2009

Here we have Weena Marcus appearing also on Newman Magazine for January issue this year and reigning Miss Malaysia Tourism International 2009

Last but not least, Cassandra Patrick hitting Newman Magazine on cover and also reigning Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen International 2009 and Miss Malaysia Universe 2009 1st Runner-up

Take a closer look at Clive magazine. Daphne Iking also hit hard on Clive magazine cover!

What we all have in common besides our Sabahan good looks and our unique accent? We love to help others, we're all down to earth, this include Amber Chia as she is considered a Sabahan because she was brought up in a very down to earth Sabah environment almost her entire life.

We want you to know that we keep no room for narcissism, but room for improvement and helping others.

Like I said a million times before, anyone can be a model. It's just a matter of your heart and mind. Ask yourself if you are passionate enough for this. If you want it, do not meet me half way, but meet me all the way. This also apply to everyone out there, either you are passionate to be a racing driver, a world famous writer, an exquisite professional photographer, an breath-taking out of this world fashion designer or simply a successful business person. With your passion and determination, I promise you will make it there.
Don't forget to join us on Facebook for Sabah Model Search 2010. Please be patient as our official website is under renovation. But at the mean time, you can visit our Facebook fan page for information on registration and etc.

Me and Cassandra will in-store for you only the best of the best. This year will be YOUR year to shine with us.

A child in coming future

Life would mean nothing if you never raise a child of your own. I love children so much, although I may not show it as much as I do, but every time I see a child it melts my heart and take my breathe away like no other. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be married and have my own biological children, but I might want to do things differently as I have always been.

I'm planning to adopt a child after 3 years because the Malaysian law stated that I have to be at least 25 years old to adopt a child. I'll wait. Three years isn't that far away =) I've run through the regulations and procedures, it's not easy and take a long process, but I know it's worth it when the time comes.

Whether I'll be married or single (or in a relationship), its my dream to be able to adopt a child. Perhaps if God is willing, I'll be able to adopt Felicia, the child I've been sponsoring at South Africa, who knows. She's such a cute little girl. Wanna cubit her!

This doesn't mean I don't want to have my own biological child. I just have this belief since I was a little girl of adopting a child. It's weird, I just don't know what other way to explain my feelings towards adoption...

Love.

Chinese Horoscope

I'm a RABBIT WABBIT!

• Timid and attractive, the Rabbits of the Chinese Zodiac tend to act more like bunnies, whether they like it or not! This Sign is extremely popular and has a wide circle of family and friends. Its compassionate nature leads it to be very protective of those it holds dear, but where romance is concerned, the Rabbit’s sentimentality can lead it to idealize relationships. The sweet, sensitive Rabbit often ends up giving more of itself to a partner than is realistic or healthy. The good news is, when this Sign goes off-balance, the Rabbit’s core group of friends and its stable home life help bring it back to center.

• The Rabbit is a rather delicate Sign that needs a solid base in order to thrive. Lacking close, supportive friends and family, the Rabbit might just break down in tears at the first sign of conflict. Emotional upsets in this Sign’s life can even lead to physical illnesses. Rabbits dislike arguments and other conflict and will try anything to avoid a fight; this results in something of a pushover nature. Rabbits can also lapse into pessimism and may seem stuck in life — often to mask their insecure natures. Rabbits tend to move through life’s lessons at their own, rather contemplative pace; it’s a waste of time to become exasperated with this Sign’s seeming disinterest in facing its problems and conquering them.

• With the right partner — meaning someone whose high principles won’t allow it to take advantage of this sensitive, giving Sign — the Rabbit can make an incredibly loving and protective partner or family member. Rabbits love to entertain at home and always make sure their house is comfortable and tastefully-furnished. What Rabbits need most is a stronger sense of self-worth and the security that comes with it. Their discerning natures, coupled with some hard-won assertiveness, will help these happy creatures go far.

• The most compatible match for a Rabbit is the Goat or the Pig.

Haiti is Calling Us

Hello everyone,

the beginning of 2010 hasn't been all filled with smiles and laughter for some people. The recent Haiti earthquake have taken more than 200,000 lives including innocent children. The survivors from this major 7.0 magnitude earthquake are in serious injuries, everyone lost their homes, friends and families too.

They are holding up their hands to us asking for help. Each country charity watchdog is now standing up to help the victims in Haiti and we should simply do our part as well. Let this be your biggest charity of all time.

You may help the Haiti victims through our very own charity organization UNICEF Malaysia. Please raise up your hands if you care for them. You may send in your donation by visiting UNICEF MALAYSIA

I believe if disaster strike in our country, they would do the same to help us...
Rest in peace and may God bless them all...

Love.

Wants to promote education instead of bombs!

Today's news was a shock to me. I never knew our own people (the Malaysian) could do such a thing and I thought we were the '1Malaysia'. Sadly, because of some small group of uncivilized people decided to do something may have ruin the peace we have in Malaysia.

Click here for today's headlines: The Star

I grew up understanding several religious beliefs in this world we share. Firstly, through Sunday school at a young age, then Pendidikan Moral from sekolah rendah till habis sekolah menengah, the every Sunday mass with the family, my family (which come from various religion such as Islam, Buddhist and etc), and my parents which have taught my very well about the existing of other religion. All of them have almost similar teachings and one of the most common teachings is to respect other existing religion. As far as I'm concerned, there is only One God in this world and religion is just a guide on earth so that we tak terikut ajaran sesat.

My boyfriend is a Muslim and i myself is a strong Catholic girl. Our differences in religion compliments each other and our similarity of teachings motivates each other. We exchange topic about our religion teachings and learn that every religion teachings are all teaching us to be a good person. I mean which religion would promote bombs right?

I am just very heart broken right now. I think people should educated themselves more about the existing of other religious belief and respect them.

Lets promote education instead of bombs.

Love always.

A Little Update

It's been quite a long New Year's holiday isn't it? Well, I spent my New Year at Taman TAR over a hill watching the blast off of fireworks at midnight with kuby and some other neighbors. It was really romantic despite all the nyamuk hutan twilighting me! Argh! Nyamuk! So annoying! My skin is quite sensitive to bug bites and it'll leave an unforgettable scar all the time and i have to keep rubbing ointment and then whitening cream to clear those vampy bite scars! Argh...

Few days ago, i wanted to go out for lunch and accidently locked my room with my keys inside. So i sat outside the living room and feeling so clueless! This isn't the first time... i think 2-3 yrs ago, i had to use a knife and slowly chopping of the door to take my keys, i totally stab the door with the knife until i made a little hole enough to insert my hands in to unlock the door knob... sigh... but luckily, this time i just remember i left a spare key inside my handbag which belong to my sister before she return back to kk... phew~ so happily getting my key back without having to stab anything LOL

So kuby and i were cruising about Taman TAR hills at night and suddenly i saw 2 little piggies!!! they are sooo cute!!! well i presume its babi hutan, but they look so cute! their twisted curly tail were wagging as they force themselves under the fence of the KDE golf club. it think it was a young couple piglets :) u get all kind of animals if you are living here, u got ferret, monkey (few different types), birds, babi hutan, dogs, biawak and of course... KITTY CAT!!! =D

i was having a drink with a friend at klcc and as soon as we say goodbye, an unknown stranger came up to me and started to talk to me. he asked me if i was local and if im a muslim. i said no im a christian, and then he said i am beautiful and said that he is a student from Kazakhstan. so i was like "oohhh" nice to meet u. and he told me his name, but i cannot remember, and he asked for my name, and i told him my fake name.... hehe yes i have a fake name... but i aint telling ya :P

then he keep on talking and saying i am so beautiful and bla bla bla... until he saw a ring i was wearing and he quickly asked if i was married. and i said YES!!! HAPPILY!!! becos i know that's the only way to potong stim the converstation LOL so i was like "YES I AM MARRIED" showing my fingers with my grandmother's ring on the married finger LOL and he fell for it. he quickly said sorry and again telling me i'm so beautiful and also said my husband is so lucky to be married to me, and i just said thank you and nice meeting you. Shock hands, goodbye.

Phew~ Save by the ring!

well, life has been quite amusing everyday. everyday seems to be something new happening, sometimes life is like a movie, u seen it happen before and u know what will happen next and what u sud do, it's very interesting.

for now, i am putting focus on my studies as my exam is next week. don't wanna deal with any unnecessary issues for now. but hope some people will learn that ignoring problems is not the same as getting over. getting over is when people come together and discuss matter and then settle it right there and then. ignoring is just ignoring, but problem will soon haunt you down in the future. Well, all that education must have some sort of civilization left right?

love always.
