I have just received my complimentary Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve and I have just took a few glasses with my fiancée. It tasted as awesome as I remembered. The first time I tasted this amazing whisky is during the Johnnie Walker Black Circuit Lounge 2012 recently with my fabulous friends from Malaysia's Hottest Bloggers.

JOHNNIE WALKER, GOLD LABEL RESERVE

ELEGANT AND SMOOTH

Nose:

Honeyed oats, malty with creamy vanilla, toffee popcorn and a touch of gingerbread. A herby note punches through. Really pleasant.

Palate:

Sweet, smooth caramel fudge. Butterscotch. Quite waxy with honey and vanilla coming in waves.

Finish: Touch of smokiness.

Overall: A really well balanced blend from the House of Johnnie Walker. Something to crack open with friends on a summer’s evening and pass around whilst the sun goes down. It’s very moreish and great value for forty quid. Good stuff.

Kronenbourg 1664 L'Aperitif Fashion

On Wednesday I was lucky enough to get invited to the Kronenbourg 1664 L’APERITIF FASHION event in Roots, Lots 10 in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. L'Aperitif is Kronenbourg's reinvention of the Happy hour, adding to it all the elements France is famous for style, fashion and good taste or the "art of living".

The Night was Kronenbourg 1664's way of creating a perfect platform to support some of Malaysia rising stars in the fashion world, and it brought together some icons from the industry. The Programme's key mentor, and maker of my favourite things, Shoes :) Jimmy Choo was there along with Andrea Fonseka, Amber Chia, Gillian Hung and Keith Kee.

Host by a familiar Actor/Model Josiah Mizukami, he really look like Kent from Barbie :)

Ran into some old school friends Evan Pan and James Lai, really made my night chatting with them once the party wound down.

Malaysia's Hottest Bloggers always enjoying the two different types of beer on offer, My favourite was the Kronenbourg Blanc but Tim and James seem to like the original 1664 better, must be a boy thing.

We had a really great night, got to spend time with old & new friends, drinking great beer and watching fashion, when's the next one :)

Glenmorangie's SOUNDFORM Fluid Showcase and Afterparty

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to attend the GLENMORANGIE SOUNDFORM Fluid showcase, this event was run to unveil something that really sums up their philosophy of all Glenmorangie products being unnecessarily well made:

The GLENMORANGIE SOUNDFORM Fluid Bar:

The bar was designed by Philip Michael Wolfson and was inspired by the sonograph reading of the sound of Glenmorengie Whishkey being poured into a crystal glass, it even has

a whiskey like color as well. I think it'd look pretty good in my house :p

The bar was set up at the North Atrium of The Gardens Mall.

After the unveiling we got to the part we had all been waiting for, the tasting! :)

This guy was the resident Whiskey expert and talked us through tasting of 3 of Glenmorangie's best Single Malt Whiskeys. Apparently it all gets its unnecessarily well made flavour from ageing in fine oak casks. I didn't really understand it but hey I love the taste. Meow!

My Favourite was The Lasanta but you should try them all :)

After the tasting there was still plenty of the good stuff floating around.

After the showcase we all headed upstairs to Vertigo for the after-party.

As always I had a great night with all my girls :)

Indeed a star-studded night as our very own Malaysian celebrities, models, and industry luminaries graced the JOHNNIE WALKER_® BLACK CIRCUIT LOUNGE, providing the media and paparazzi photographers a field day capturing these personalities as they arrived in style on the BLACK CARPET before partying the night away.

There is also photo booths and an ultra-realistic video simulation called Drive Of A Lifetime that put you right into the seat of a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes™ F1™ driver preparing for a race, with the resulting personalised video instantly uploaded on Facebook as well.

JOHNNIE WALKER_® also prepared an experimental bar aptly named BLACK FLAVOUR LAB, where World Class mixologists treated guests to the familiar JOHNNIE WALKER_® BLACK LABEL_® with new and evocative serves using the theme of green coconut, unlocking the signature big bold flavours of JOHNNIE WALKER_® in a fresh way. Guests were amazed to find that coconut water can really amplify some of the complex flavours of BLACK LABEL_® in a way they all had not expected but most enjoyed. Guests were also given a visually-arresting serve involving smoke and dry ice, as well as an extremely popular batch-made coconut and BLACK LABEL_® sorbet.

Global Brand Ambassador Tom Jones came to Malaysia for the first time to introduce the indulgent flavours of the JOHNNIE WALKER_® GOLD LABEL RESERVE™ to our guests at this party, sometimes one on one, in a specially crafted GOLD CELEBRATION BAR within the party. He help guests discover this special whisky on its own or with indulgent GOLD LABEL RESERVE™ cocktails.

At the strike of midnight, a blast of confetti marks the GOLD CELEBRATION MOMENT was definitely a surprise! Followed by JOHNNIE WALKER_® Brand Ambassadors and service staff providing guests with JOHNNIE WALKER_® GOLD LABEL RESERVE™ cocktails and bottle service through the rest of the night. It was awesome!

Guinness St. Patrick's Day in Changkat Bukit Bintang

Just last week on the 17th March 2012, me and Malaysia's Hottest Bloggers celebrated St. Patricks Day at Changkat Bukit Bintang. We were welcomed with the St. Paddy's Hats given to us. It was my first time wearing it!

There were over 10,000 visitors, tourist and party goers (like me) that celebrate the global festivity on that Saturday evening. It is Malaysia's and Asia's largest GUINNESS St. Patrick's Celebration this year!

In the true spirit of St. Patrick's there were stand-up comedians, live music performances, Irish dancers, street artist, funny green friends, and a carnival of fun games and activities. The parade marked the beginning of a night that would resound with the sound of laughter.
