I'm no love expert or doctor lurv, so i need some opinion from you all for a close girlfriend of mine.
Here's her story...
She's been dating with this guy for almost 4 years, and they've been seeing each other every other day except for some days when they have to be apart due to outstation work. So lately, they have been talking about some serious topics on their relationship, which is 'marriage'. He said to her that he feels that he is in this age where he would like to have three children before turning the age of 35 therefore he would to like get married somewhere next year and engaged by end of this year. He is 28 and she is 22 this year.
Despite the age gap, they both actually understands each other very well and they have been through alot together as a couple. For me, I could almost think they both are married because they fit each other shoes perfectly (not literally). Of course there's a lot of bumps along that perfect love, but they still made it through together until today. Its like watching freaking Note Book.
Right, everything in their relationship is almost perfect. It's beyond this universe how he swept her off her feet with his super cool behavior, his funny jokes and sarcasm. He is everything that I would like in a man too, but I just think he is lack of being romantic to my friend. Anyway, her only problem is that, she is a Christian and he is a Muslim.
Here comes the million dollar question. Okay, how is she going to deal with this pathetic religion issue so she could spend the rest of her life with the man she loves? She wanted to convert at first, but she is having second thoughts and doubts about it.
I told her to migrate overseas and get married!
Tell me what do you think? Should she leave this guy, or leave this country for a better life?
Thank you for your support~
xoxo Stella Matilda

take it easy
tell that girl..
If she love him, just join muslim
If she love YESUS, just leave him
I think your friend should be careful when choose a bf
why pikat a muslim guy even she is a christian.....
HAIZ
I think she can remain in her religion and her husband remain in his. althought in our country, she have to convert to muslim, but if her husband is understanding, she can have a malay name but believe in Jesus still. cos i think if she really believe in Jesus, even if she convert to Islam, she'll still love Jesus. cos God is not just a religion. for those modern muslim, they're not wearing tudung also right. so no one will know whether you're a muslim or not, other than the malay name. but officially in M'sia, she just need to change her name to Malay name (for the IC). but other than that, her family or her friend can still call her by her own name and she can still be a Christian.
this can happen, if her husband and family are open and understanding.
Bless for her.
If she is really loved that guy she should convert to muslim then married that guy but before that she must think deeply and ask her heart what she doing is right or wrong because once she make decision there is no turning back...
This is a tough nut to crack..u cant go overseas to get married coz it`s disrespectful to both parties`s parents and in the end it would get worst..well,sometimes,when a person is in love..as long as both love each other is what matters..regardless of the age gap..and regarding the religion thing..she need serious confronting to the parents and serious thinking.coz when u convert u cant goback.no disrespect to the muslims.peace.
yea
migrate overseas and get married
cuz it's kinda hard for both of them to convert to other religion though
I'm not an expert but just a beginner. Hehe... Tough for me to comment, cause I don't know them that well and can't really judge them, so don't hold me to it.
I'm sure there are ways around this. The girl can convert and convert back after the marriage.
Well, her IC will be written there that she's a muslim, but she can still behave like a christian and eat porl. I don't think the public will think that she's a muslim and find it offending.
Hehe... Doesn't matter what religion she is. Nobody cares about it.
Don't know la. Maybe I'm too naive in these stuff.
dear stellz,
hmmm one of your older post had the similar thinggy if i am not mistaken however reading between the lines it relates a lot to you :P lolz don't get me wrong - just kiddin.
anyway i'm no love doctor too but somehow the best choice is to get married overseas and it boils down to the immediate families if both party agrees i dun see why marriage should stop them. However if she really loves him the option of leaving him is no good, she shouldn't think of it that way but try finding other options. sad to say the country we live in is such but then again there are many out there in malaysia where they are married and yet stay in the same religion but life's pretty quiet then.
Getting married overseas is the only option in hand unless one prepares to convert. I feel sorry for her because it is a tough call in our country, not forgetting the values she had all her life from the parents/family it is not easy. This is where family support is so important for both parties. Leaving him may not solve the problem because as you said...she is really in love with him. too bad our country is such with all due respect to all religion but somehow i feel most of the rules today are man made rules. :)
I think what gnoel said is true, both of you need to have serious confronting with the parents from both sides and stick together to go down the road. She has to know what she's in for and be prepared to right that journey with him. I just feel if both parents could agree to a certain outcome she wouldn't feel much burden. It is because both of them have values and the blessing from your parents for the wedding one of the spiritual things in a wedding.
I pray it all turns out for the better for her and god will guide her.It really doesn't matter what people think as long your knows it and god knows it. Even if she converts just on the surface but deep down she's still a christian whilst her husband remains a muslim/hindu/buddhist..and both parties(she and her hubby) respects that then so be it.
Hope they will find the way. Thanks for sharing tho and keep us up to date with this ya~ it is something useful coz i think there's are many out there who are facing similar issues.
thanks stellz.

Hi, long time didn't write comment for u already..
Well... tell her to think carefully, not to say it's racist or what-so-ever... somehow it's really to determine.
she loves her religion and he was a muslim, it was hard...
p/s: no offence with anyone who read this.. *peace*
I think, she should leave this country and look for better life out there... since they are so match together and suit each other perfectly...
