I suppose everybody have heard about the Haiti earthquake. So here I go again, reminding you all that the victims in Haiti are still very much in need of our help. You're probably saying why not help our locals? There are many charity bodies in our country such as Red Crescent and Mercy Malaysia had organized many campaigns to help our locals and still out there without fail helping our locals. Of course, none of it is ever enough.
But when disaster strikes such as this, the Haiti earthquake which happens to have killed more than 200,000 people, however 300,000 people have survived but having to live their live going through this catastrophe everyday in their eyes. Their families are dead, friends are killed, homes are destroyed, short of food, water, and other basic necessity. Some are still in hysteria from this nightmare that they needed psychology attention. Yet some try to take advantage from this situation to adopt the children in Haiti, which clearly isn't the right time for such thing.
If our country (touch word!) would one day have disaster such as this, I believe other countries would do the same to help. It's a circle which we must practice, that is helping one another regardless the difference of our race, culture and the colour of our skin. I strongly believe when desperation such as this in need of help, we put all our differences aside. We HELP.
Malaysia For Haiti campaign in collaboration with Mercy Malaysia is organizing a fund raising campaign here the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Do your pledge with us and lets show the world that WE, Malaysian are caring and WANT to help them.
